My name is Aaron sliski, and I am not a normal man of any sort. I do not fit a mold, and I love creating, fixing, and solving unique problems. I have spent my life building, fixing, and inventing things of all shapes and sizes. I have a degree from Suffolk University in Entrepreneurship, while at face value doesnt seem like much of a degree, it made me who I am today. It taught me how to work in groups, how to solve problems, and how to use people to their strengths and help with their weaknesses.

This blog will have plenty of spelling and grammar mistakes but thats the fun of it. I am trying to have it look like a 90's blog, and with the help of chat gpt I can write and maintain this website much easier than previously. My last blog was very tedious to write and maintain, but this is just so simple because some robot can do the hard work for me with all the stylesheets and code that is confusing.

I have a very unique set of friends who are amazing and while im not the brightest bulb in the bunch we all learn from each other. Having a network of friends who will help and answer your weird questions is invaluable.

One of my passions is Astronomy and educational outreach. I was involved with for ten years refurbishing and retrofitting a 1965 36'' Boller and Chivens telescope that now lives in New Mexico. I am currently a board member of the AAVSO a organization I have been working with since 2011.

My father has taught me my whole life about all the things that I know. He dragged me when I was six years old to Oak Ridge Observatoy to help look for aliens. He is a pysicist by school, but he is a jack of all trades master of many, while I am just a few.

Here I am at Oak Ridge Observatory in Harvard Ma circa Saturday, 16 Feb 2002. This Brand new 72" telescope was about to look to the sky for aliens. I was the wrench monkey and getting into tough spots, and been hooked ever since.

I am currently helping my father restore a 1895 12'' Warner and swasey telescope that is bound for New York city. The craftsmanship of this telescope is bar none, it is a mechanical marvel.

I also love cars, and have a deep passion. My friend gave me this 1969 Meyers Tow'd. It is a Volkswagen based Dune Buggy but doesnt use a Beetle floorpan, and was originally made for racing the Baja 1000. I have taken the whole thing apart, bolt by bolt, laser cleaned, sandblasted, and painted the whole car, and it is now back on the road after thirty years sitting in a garage.

While it was a couple of years ago now, and may never happen again my friends and I designed built and competed RIPperoni the battlebot on the discovery channel. I take little credit to the nitty gritty design of this beast, I had my hands in many sub systems and made this thing happen which is no small task.

I also love woodworking and building things. Here I am in my OSHA approved Hawaiian Saftey shoes, with my 16'' Makita beam saw.

I am not afraid of building anything, you give me the tools and a problem and I can probably solve it. Since I have been exposed to so many different kinds of industries I often solve problems others cant, and I am not afraid to try! I am also not afraid to fail, without failing many many times you cant succeed.

I also have a loving Fiance who travels the world with me, and is my best friend. She only thinks im slightly crazy, but it always seems to work out, and heck I even have all my toes and fingers so I must be doing something right.
